How do I open the Windows download?
Download the ZIP from the PrompterCall page. Right-click the downloaded ZIP, choose “Extract All,” then open PrompterCall.exe inside the extracted folder. Keep the other files and folders with the app. No installer or account is needed.
The download is for Windows 10 or later on 64-bit Intel or AMD PCs (x64). This first Windows release is unsigned, so Windows may display an unknown-publisher or SmartScreen warning. Contact support if you need help.
How do I turn click-through off?
Press Ctrl Shift I on Windows or ⌘ Shift I on Mac, or use the PrompterCall icon in the Windows system tray or Mac menu bar and choose “Turn click-through off.” You can also reopen the editor and use its click-through control. The menu remains available if another app is using the shortcut.
What are the other quick keys?
- Ctrl / ⌘ Shift P shows or hides the teleprompter.
- Ctrl / ⌘ Shift Space starts or pauses automatic scrolling.
Why isn’t Voice pace moving?
Open the floating view, choose Voice pace and allow microphone access. On Windows, check that your system’s microphone privacy settings allow desktop apps. On Mac, check System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone if permission was denied. A quiet room or headset helps: Voice pace responds to sound levels, so background noise can affect it. Set the scroll speed to suit your delivery.
What does the timer measure?
The timer counts elapsed time while Voice pace is active, including pauses in speech. It pauses when Voice pace stops. Resetting or changing the script starts a fresh timer. It does not measure words per minute or compare spoken words with your script.
Can people see my notes when I share?
A full-display share may show the teleprompter on macOS. Share your presentation or call window and check the meeting app’s share preview first.
Where are my scripts?
Scripts are saved on your computer. There is no account or cloud sync. If saving fails, the app shows an error and keeps the editor open so you can preserve your work. Email us for help with local data or recovery copies.
Where can I download it?
Get the free Windows download from the PrompterCall page. The Mac App Store release is coming soon.
